DevOps Engineer
Build scalable infrastructure and streamline deployments.
You will make deploys boring and incidents shorter. The work is AWS, containers, and the path from a merged change to a running service, with logs and rollback that another engineer can follow. Kubernetes is in scope where it earns its cost. We would rather have a small, documented platform than a cluster nobody can explain at 2 a.m.
This is production infrastructure. A diagram without a deploy pipeline is not enough.
What you'll work on
- AWS environments with least-privilege access and encrypted data at rest
- Docker images that build the same way in CI and on a laptop
- Kubernetes or a simpler compute target, chosen for the service in front of you
- Deploy, rollback, and health checks an on-call engineer can use
- Logs, metrics, and alerts that point at a cause instead of a pile of noise
Requirements
- Production AWS experience
- Docker used for real services, not only local tutorials
- Kubernetes or a comparable orchestrator you have operated
- A habit of writing the runbook while you build the system
Nice to have
- Terraform or another reviewed infrastructure-as-code workflow
- Experience with Postgres connection limits and background jobs
How to apply
- Put a relevant GitHub repository or live demo near the top of your note.
- Attach a PDF resume with concrete outcomes: what shipped, what changed, and the part you owned.
- Include your time zone, weekly availability, and earliest start date.
- Applications without a work sample we can review are unlikely to move forward.
